President and Founder
Rex is retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Company where he spent much of his career in manufacturing. He was raised in small towns in the Chicago suburbs, where his father was a tenant farmer. He feels being raised on a farm, instilled many of the core values that he carries today. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Force and served for four years. After retiring from Caterpillar, he and his wife, Mary, moved to Las Vegas. Rex and Mary are members of Faith Lutheran Church. They have 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and 2 foster grandchildren. Always enjoying seeing a child smile, Rex started making toys with two other friends in 2006. Rex now provides the leadership for Toys 4 Smiles with dozens of volunteers and a strong board of trusteess. We have the ability to take a piece of scrap wood and create a smile!
Gary has served on the Toys 4 Smiles board of trustees since June of 2013. As a twenty year resident of Las Vegas, he has witnessed the growth of the Las Vegas valley and the increased need for helping people, especially kids. As the national sales manager for a remanufacturing firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gary utilizes his sales and marketing talents to help Toys 4 Smiles with fundraising and special events. Gary and his wife own a lake home in Minnesota where they spend their summers. They recently purchased an adjacent property that included a large pole building where they hope to build a wood shop to make toys for the kids in that local area and expand the reach of the Toys 4 Smiles mission.
Roger has been with Easter Seals Nevada as CFO for three years. He is the steward of finances for the growing organization. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting from Eastern Kentucky University, not too far from where he grew up in Nelson County, Kentucky. He is from a large family, being the oldest of ten children. He started in healthcare in 1978 and worked with non-profit hospitals. His preference for non-profits is what drew him to Easter Seals Nevada and the affiliation with Toys 4 Smiles. He enjoys making rosaries, playing poker and pedaling his road bike in his spare time. He’s been a local of Las Vegas since 2008.
